Tyler has 30 years of experience studying Chinese Kung Fu, and holds doctorate degree in Chinese Medicine. Tyler provides excellent therapy and high level instruction.
My journey into the Eastern healing and martial arts began in 1984 with Yang style Tai Chi Chaun. After six months my teacher moved away. I then found a kung fu school and began to further my studies under sifu Jerry Alan Johnson at the Ching Lung school where I continued with Tai Chi and started training in Northern Shaolin. I earned my black sash "student level" in 1986. Continuing my tenure with master Johnson my studies turned toward Shing Yi Chaun, and Bagua Zhang in 1990. I then became immersed in the study of the three Treasures: Tai Chi, Shing Yi, and Bagua.
Adhering to the principles and protocols of chinese culture and customs of traditional chinese kung fu engrained in me by my master. I began seeking out other masters and practitioners of Tai Chi, Shing Yi, and Bagua to expand my study and knowlege.
Throughout my training there was an underlying rule that " If you break it, you fix it." So I learned traumatology and herbology as part of the curriculum. I also came to learn that the best martial artists were doctors and the best doctors were martial artists. With this in mind I began formal study of Medical Qigong or Qi emission therapy in 1998. In 2007 I entered into Taoist Mystic studies. in 2009 I became a 81st generation disciple and taoist priest of Mao Shan (Shang Qing) Taoism. in 2011 I was ordained as a 66th generation disciple and priest of Long Hu Shan (Tian Shi) taoism. In 2012 finished my course work at The Templ of the Celestial Cloud, in Monterey California. ( A satellite of Hunan University China)And received a doctorate degree in Medical Qigong.
